Renowned Brazilian guitarist, Lari Basilio unveils her first Ibanez signature solidbody. This TE-style-twist of a guitar comes mounted with chic, gold-plated hardware and bears all of the high-grade hallmarks of a Japanese Prestige Series model. As such, the neck of the LB1 has been oiled, treating the extra-stable, and very special S-Tech-heated maple neck to an unmatched level of butter-smoothness which is only enhanced by the Prestige fret-edge finish of the 22 stainless-steel jumbo frets and compound fretboard radius. As you would only expect, this slice of Japanese elegance comes complete with a hardshell case. The Lari Basilio Signature LB1: A Seymour Duncan HSS Configuration & a Gotoh T1702B Tremolo Bridge Besides the curved and rounded off TE-style body and handsome finish, this Ibanez axe comes loaded with not two but three pickups and a two-point tremolo bridge. Mounted in a fat and flexible HSS configuration, this set of custom-developed Seymour Duncan Lari Basilio Signature pickups already deliver masses of tonal versatility, but throw in the five-way Alter switch, and this is pushed all the way over the edge. This guitar increases the tonal variation of an ST-style model by a good 80%, and elevates the diversity of a standard twanger by a good 300%. Meanwhile, the Gotoh T1702B bridge retains a firm grip on the intonation, providing complete freedom when it comes to performing subtle to wild tremolo-arm tricks.

In collaboration with Swedish metal royalty, Ghost, Hagstrom developed the fresh Fantomen solid-body. The looks and sound of this electric offset perfectly echo the dark heaviness of the band. The considerably large mahogany body and irksome, upside down head are typical Hagstrom quirks and, because this is a Hagstrom model, the guitar retains perfect balance. The glued neck has also been shaped using mahogany and is supported by a fretboard made of resinator. Resinator is a further developed version of ebonol which faithfully mimics the sound of ebony. The Fantomen: Speed and FlexibilityThe tight 25.5-inch scale length and 15-inch fretboard radius have a direct effect on the level of comfort, speed and agility that can be reached when playing this instrument. A classic stoptail tailpiece is mounted and couples with the Longtravel T-O-M bridge to add a layer of extra sustain and, along with the scale length, give the Fantomen a richly defined foundation sound. Both passive humbuckers were designed by none other than John Lundgren; also famous for designing pickups for Meshuggah. A No. 2 humbucker sits at the neck and a No. 5 at the bridge and together, they produce solid distortions and sweet, warm cleans to support thick riffs and highly dynamic leads.

With the Sälen Classic 6 Tremolo headless solid-body, .strandberg* presents a progressive, fully future-proofed take on an icon of an electric guitar. The shape of the control plate might hint at a fifties classic, but this model is anything but a throwback. The fanned fret layout is a big giveaway, where the scale length is a slightly longer 25.5 inches at the low E-string than the 25 inches at the high E-string; a setup that doesn't just support a tight feel across the bass strings and a balanced, flexible feel across the treble strings, but ultimately solves the intonation problems that come with the standard fret layout. The Strandberg Sälen Classic 6 Tremolo: Comfort & ErgonomicsWhile it does echo guitars of old, the Sälen Classic 6 has been redesigned from the ground up to ensure an unrivalled level of playing comfort, from the specially formed arm and torso carve of the solid okoume body to the contoured neck join, which is fully rounded off and free of a neck plate. The carbon-fibre reinforced, quarter-sawn maple EndurNeck has also been given an exclusively developed profile which has an immediately ergonomic feel. Combine all of that with the set of twenty-four ultra-durable stainless-steel Jescar frets and you're looking at a snug, stable and super-serious model.Flexible Sound & Tasteful VibratoThe solid okoume body, four-bolt neck and stunning birdseye maple fretboard lay down an acoustic core that's packed with resonant warmth and just the right amount of punch. This foundation has then been loaded out with a pair of specially designed .strandberg* Custom OEM humbuckers, a custom-wired five-way selector switch and a volume and tone control pot. Basically, this guitar has been set up to span the full spectrum, so it can be dialled in to support everything from metal to jazz and from straight-up pop to classic rock and, in response to popular demand, the Sälen Classic 6 has been polished off with an EGS Pro Rev 7 tremolo bridge, giving the expressive potential of this six-string a solid boost.
