The North Sails fast VX One spinnaker is made out of AirX 600 cloth. For additional colors, please contact your local North Sails loft or agent.

The North Viper 640 spinnaker reflects the knowledge we've gained by designing winning sails for a variety of sport boats. Our sail is sized to be class maximum and twists and rotates well, so you can sail lower angles while going the same speed or faster. The AirX cloth gives you the option to use a slightly more robust cloth than the Dynakote option. It uses the same designed shape but the AirX is more rigid so it will hold it's shape without giving or stretching in strong wind. The sacrifice is that it does not have the same slippery finish we love about the Dynakote option. For additional colors, please contact your local North Sails loft or agent.

The R-2 Spinnaker has been the class standard for use as an all-purpose spinnaker for many years. As a sail that has been used to win every World, regional and area championship, the R2 has proven itself as the speed standard Lightning sailors worldwide. The radial design makes it a durable sail that will hold its shape on both reaches and runs and, while the R-2 is designed to excel in running and broad reaching, it is also can more than hold its own against outstanding on a tight reach. For additional colors please contact your local North Sails loft or agent.

The MR-5 all-purpose asymmetric is a World Championship winning design. Manufactured from superkote 60 Nylon, with its full radial construction makes this an excellent all round performer. For additional colors, please contact your local North Sails loft or agent.

The FR-2 Spinnaker is a multi World Championship winning sail. manufactured from Superkote 75 to a full radial construction; this stable yet easy to trim sail provides great speed throughout all conditions. For additional colors, please contact your local North Sails loft or agent.

The S-01 all-purpose spinnaker for the International 420 Class performs well on both runs and reaches. It has the largest projected area of all our 420 spinnakers, and the depth is balanced from top to bottom to make trimming easier. Since the sail itself is a little flatter than the S-05, you can play the spinnaker pole height to stabilize it when required. For other colors, please get in touch with your local North Sails loft or agent.

A further development from the the Full Radial spinnaker, the FR-2 is slightly fuller in the head section providing more stability, along with a slightly modified panel layout. For additional colors, please contact your local North Sails loft or agent.

The RHC mainsail is our latest design and continues to win more major regattas, since its introduction than any other sail over that time period. Sailors using the RHC main have won multiple North American championships and Midwinters. The RHC was developed using the AP mainsail shape, to be a superior sail in all wind conditions while improving speed and adding durability with radial construction in the high load areas. The radial head and clew sections make the sail smoother while keeping the same easy-to-tim shape of the AP. The RHC also has a bit more depth in the forward mid-section to allow easier gear changing in breezier conditions.

Our Day Sailer mainsail is designed with an open leech that makes it easier to de-power, yet still offers plenty of punch for light and lumpy days. The forgiving shape rewards small mainsheet adjustments, which are instantly translated into superior point and speed. Built from a lighter, firmer, 3.8oz coated cloth, this mainsail matches the bend characteristics of most popular Day Sailer masts.

The F-2 mainsail design is an all-purpose sail for the stiffer masts in the fleet. Designed with less luff curve than the F-1, the F-2 is the perfect choice for stiffer mast sections or sailing in light flat-water conditions. Manufactured to a cross-cut layout and built from a 5.5oz Dacron.

The IC37 APi-1 Jib is manufactured from North Sails 3Di RAW which is a purpose-built composite sail with a dedicated tape layout developed to best match 3Di technology and properties to best match the loads and dpi to the IC37 sail plan. The result is a wider wind range, a more supple feel, and a more user-friendly experience.

The ShiftLock Carbon handles provide an instant reaction to your input, with the bonus of being able to slide and lock into infinite positions. Carbon ShiftLock handles are purchased separately from the wing, which makes it easy to find your perfect setup. There are four carbon handle lengths, from the single 1100 boom to the 500, 400, and 250 mm handles. Follow the size chart to determine the best handle combination for your wing size. If you're a more experienced rider and you know what you want, then you've got the option to either downsize or go for a boom. The 1100 boom is our lightest handle option. Although it's the longest handle, it only has two connection points, so the overall weight is lower than two separate bars with 4 mounts. This suits a rider wanting a lighter rig for lighter winds and larger wings. The boom is also the most cost-effective option and would suit any rider’s ability; it’s more forgiving because it allows you to slide your hand up and down during tacks...
