The North Sails RJ-3 jib for the Lark has been designed with a square top head to boost area and aid the twist profile allowing the head to open smoothly as the wind increases. It is built with radial construction in the head and clew and crosscut panels through the middle. Manufactured from Contender RSQ 3.75 cloth.

The XJ-2 uses the proven DJ-2 design for proven performance but is cut using a simpler crosscut layout using Contender Polykote 5.46 to offer the fleet another jib at a lower price point.
