This is the town that Saint Bridget is from and it offers plenty of culture and historical sites. Outside of Vadstena you will also find a great beach with a small, outdoor waterpark, Varamo. Between Ödeshög and Vadstena you will find the ruins of the monastery Alvastra Kloster, set in beautiful surroundings right by the mountain Omberg. Omberg is well worth a visit for those who love walking in beech forests. If you wish to visit larger towns you can drive to Linköping and Norrköping. In Linköping you can visit the picturesque old town which offers plenty of things to see and do. Don't forget to pay a visit to the candy factory in Ljungsbro!
