In the living room, there's a dining table, a wood-burning stove, a sofa, and a sofa bed with a width of 120 cm (suitable for one person). The living room also features armchairs, a TV, and a DVD-player. A steep set of stairs will take you to the upper floor, where you will find an interesting piece of furniture: an old “beggar's bench”. In the olden days people would place such a bench outside of their homes to signal that homeless beggars, who often travelled around the countryside, were welcome to knock on the door, for a bite to eat and a bed for the night. The upper floor has one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom (without a door) with two single beds. A path leads from the garden to the river Vieån. Next to this room is you can find a very large conservatory (around 24m2) which is perfectly suited for breakfasts and dinners, from this room you will have a partial lake view over Svarten which is approximately 250m away. The TV is equipped with Swedish channels and is located on the open loft, which is connected with the living room/ kitchen. You will access the loft through a normal staircase, so not through a small ladder or similar. The loft is a favorite place among the children and teenagers; here they can watch movies or TV if the weather does not allow them to play outside on the lovely lawn. The excursions opportunities are many; you can visit the shopping paradise of Ullared (6,5km) or the nearest golf course Rolfstorp (12km). You can take a simple swim in the nearby lake Svarten which is approximately 400m away or you can take a car trip to the beaches in Varberg (25km) and Falkenberg (28km), there is also a good bathing place in HJärtaredsjön which is situated around 10km away. If you like fishing you can fix fishing license and boat on the nearby farm “Kushult”. The Fishing license costs 50 SEK/day or 150 SEK/week and a boat costs 80 SEK/day. The coast is about 22 kilometres away, should you feel like swimming in the sea. Småland is known for it's scenic nature with big forests and many lakes. Welcome to this delightful holiday home in the south of Småland! The pretty cottage is set in the small village of Kalvshaga and is surrounded by fruit trees and shrubbery. There's a roofed terrace as well as a garden with outdoor furniture and a garden grill. On the bottom floor, there's a small kitchen with all of the necessary amenities, such as an electric cooker. There's also a wood-burning stove in the kitchen. The kitchen, dining room, and entrance hall are all open-plan. The living room features an open fireplace, which you are welcome to use, and there's also free wireless internet access. In the bathroom, you will find a WC and a washbasin. Kalvsvik is four kilometres from the cottage and features a lovely bathing spot with bathing docks. You have access to four bicycles so why not take them to the nature reserve in Bjurkärr? Another beautiful place to visit is Huseby bruk, 15 kilometres away, with it's castle and it's ironworks museum. There's also an inn, a café, a nature reserve, and an observation tower. The interior of the house is tastefully decorated and there's underfloor heating throughout the house. This wonderful holiday home is just a few meters away from the lake Sandsjön, where you can bathe and explore by canoe. The holiday home is right on a promontory where you will face water in several directions, and with the beach right next to the patio. To the south you overlook the lovely lake, and if you face west you will see the sunset. The holiday home is secured and private, since the owner owns the whole area and the only way to enter the grounds is through a large gate. On the promontory there are only 2 houses, and the second owns by the same person and is approximately 100m away from your holiday home. The promontory is a true paradise where you can bathe, go on small adventure trips, row in the boat, paddle in the canoe or just enjoy the beautiful nature. If you provide yourself with a fishing license you can fish in the lake. The holiday home is well managed and inviting. The living room and the kitchen are located in the same open layout, and there are a large window section facing south which provides an amazing view. The three bedrooms close to each other, two of which share the same lovely view over the lake. The kitchen area is well equipped with modern equipment and a kitchen island. There is a fireplace located outside where you can spend some relaxing evenings and just enjoy the moment. The boat and canoe are docked just next to your holiday home and if you would like and extra canoe there are the opportunity to rent one direct by the owner. (500SEK/week) The lake of Sandsjön has a circumference of approximately 10km, which is quite enough for someone who wants to venture for a few hours. But if you want to adventure further, there is a lake just next to Sandsjön named Fängen and there are several small ponds which are also nice to explore. The might be a possibility to borrow a simple tennis court, after arrangement with owner on arrival. There are several tennis rackets and balls which you can borrow. A basketball hoop is mounted on the tennis court if everyone in the family wants to practice sport at the same time. The exhibition sites are also superb, only 12km away is Hooks mansion located with fine restaurant and with lovely golf course. The beautiful city of Jönköping is approximately 31km north of your holiday home where you can visit Rosenlunds Water Park, eat at the many restaurants or shop in one of the shopping centers. If you travel further north you will arrive at Gränna and Visingsö. The old west city High Chaparall is 50km away from your holiday home and if that is not enough you can travel to the world of Astrid Lindgren in Vimmerby. A spacious and well-maintained holiday home only 10-15 metres from a fjord with good fishing conditions. The house is bright and charming with large windows that give plenty of light and a great view. From the dining table you can enjoy a full panoramic view. The modern wood-burning stove with glass windows creates a warm atmosphere. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a practical set-up. There is underfloor heating in the basement except for in the bedrooms. Outdoor you find a balcony and large yard. There is a boathouse and a breakwater where you find the motorboat available for rent tied up to a buoy. Sekken is an idyllic island with everything from a paint ball pitch to horseback riding facilities. There are signed hiking trails only 500 metres from the house and about 20 km of road that takes you around the island. There are ferry departures to Molde 9 times a day on weekdays and 5 times on Saturdays and Sundays. The last ferry from Molde on Saturdays departs at 19.30, and on weekdays at 22.30. Stroll through the charming Old Town and admire the picturesque view, stop for a coffee in one of Falkenberg's excellent cafés, such as Ståhlbom's or Borgmästargården. Take a walk along the River Ätran and admire the stunning view. Falkenberg offers shops, restaurants, bars, music events and many other activities. Another great destination is the old, picturesque town of Vadstena, set right by lake Vättern. Vadstena was once up for becoming the capital of Sweden, before Stockholm was chosen. King Gustav Vasa built a castle here in the middle ages and it still stands today, in excellent shape. There are also several beautiful old churches you can visit, and a convent where the Birgitta-sisters live. This is the town that Saint Bridget is from and it offers plenty of culture and historical sites. Between Ödeshög and Vadstena you will find the ruins of the monastery Alvastra Kloster, set in beautiful surroundings right by the mountain Omberg. Nogersund in turn is located in the beautiful landscape of Blekinge, and has a harbor where there are several boat connections which goes to the island Hanö. Hanö is a very popular tourist destination. The furnishing in this holiday home is beautiful and tasteful, and on the outside it has a large plot and a lovely patio on two sides. On the ground floor is a kitchen, living room and a pleasant bedroom located. The bed is 110cm wide and the kitchen area has everything you would need for easy and convenient kitchen work. Upstairs is two additional bedrooms located one with a double bed and the other with two simple beds. There are bathrooms on both floors on the holiday home. In the evening there is always pleasant to sit on the patio and have a good meal, for example you can eat the fish you purchased from one of the fishing boats the same morning. There is a newly built greenhouse where you can sit on colder days. Nogersund is located just a few kilometers from Hällevik where you can find a good fish shop which sells fresh fish, smoked delicacies among other things. In June is Sweden Rock Festival in Norje boke and there are several events in Sölvesborg during the summer time. Or maybe you can go on a pleasant trip to Mörrum where you can find “the house of Salmon” or Kreativum in Karlshamn.
